Poor customer care regarding Focus RS gasket failure
Herewith is my email I have sent to Ford customer care ********** on the 16th February 2018 with no response up to now.
"I would like to express my viewpoint regarding my Focus RS (2016 model) which has been at Daly Ford Klerksdorp workshop sins December 2017 for The knowen(By Ford company) head gasket failure.
I have been patient until this week when I once again had to request for feedback regarding the progress of the assasment of the damage on the enjin. Only to receive more desturbing news that only the vehicle head gasket will be replaced as no other damage was found. I know that certain RS enjins have been assembled with the incorrect head gasket (Ecoboost Mustang gasket) and affects the coolant cricuit through the enjin and causes failure of the gasket or even damage to the cilinderhead(crack of cilinder head). I was promised solid feedback which will be reports and pictures but received nothing even after requesting again. This brings me to the next very concerning point. Many other simular cases reveeled (acknowledged by Ford) that the coolant which got into contact with the enjin working parts(clearly noticed the contaminated oil when oil cap was removed) can damage the enjin even further. I am fully in favor the only the gasket need replacement but I'm not convinced that the enjin is tip top otherwise just because I was not fully involved as promised.
Is the newly ordered gasket the Focus RS gasket or is it the Mustang gasket???? What does this meen in regard of the resale value of my RS as this is a very Huge concern.
For the record: I have been a proud owner of two previous Focus ST's (2013 & 2017 models) and would hate if I this RS issue wil cause to change my veiwpoint all together...
Please assist with some clear info and what is the way forward?
Your promt action will be greatly appreciated...
Regards, Frikkie Weideman"
