I had to have a new part inserted into my car after a mechanical fault by a relative who is a mechanic as my warranty/guarantee plan with the dealer had expired and to cut the costs. This ended up with the radio requiring a keycode for it to be activated and for it to work. I called your head quarters and was told to call dealership.Dealership informs me that from November onwards they no longer give the codes over the phone and as the owner I need to bring the car in and they will charge me R250 to get the code from head quarters.<br> I understand the logic of not giving codes over the phone but anybody can bring the car to the dealership so how will they know that the car is not ****** and not brought in by the *****? And second concern is if this rule has changed why are owners not informed so that we know that the car should be brought in to the dealer for any mechanical fault as they will get the code after fixing the car? This means that I am obliged to get my car fixed at your dealerships even if I can fix it myself.<br> This is a bit unfair and I have complained but nobody has contacted me!
