Not notified about a car recall campaign

I bought a Ford Echo sport 2014 model in 2018 from Barloworld Toyota in Witbank. The car on arrival was on 80km but upon perusal of the service book i noted that it was not serviced for 80km, I then contacted the salesperson who was assisting me who then booked the car for service at Barloworld Ford Bruma by that time it was still situated at Eastgate. The car was serviced there for 80km, however from 100km to 160km I took the car for service to Ford Ben Morgan in Randfontein as it is the nearest. Upon return for 160km service it came back with an orange light on and the car was not driving well anymore. I then called Ford Ben Morgan to let them know and i was told to return the car. I returned the car to them and i was told it has a recall and it will be fixed at no cost to me but only after 13 days coz their factory for parts was on stocktaking for 11 days. However after 13 days i was called and told that unfortunately the car's recall lapsed at 160km and the car was now at 162km as a result i need to pay an amount of 56 000 for it to be fixed. This was on the 16th December 2021, I then went to fetch back the car and on the 18th December my husband took it to Barloworld Ford Bruma for second opinion. Once again we were told the car has a recall and it will be fixed. When i didn't hear anything from them until the 29th of December i called them to enquire only then was i also told that the car's recall has unfortunately lapsed and i need to pay 17 800 for it to be fixed. So my dissatisfaction was on the following points 1. Why was i not called as a customer to bring the car for the recall campaign. 2. Why was this campaign not automatically done when i took the car for 160km service or before that. 3.How come am i now responsible for payments of damages done by their negligence. 4.why at the time of the purchase of the vehicle was i not advised in advance that the vehicle has these campaigns. 5.I bought the vehicle under the impression that it was in good order. I have since escalated the matter to Ford Head Office on the 29th December because i was advised by a lady at Bruma branch that head office is responsible for calling clients regarding car campaings. I was since advised by them that they are awaiting response from Ford Ben Morgan. I am very disappointed and regret purchasing a Ford vehicle as well as their poor service.
