Not a happy Ford client
My Ford Ranger has just surpassed the 100 000 km mark and suddenly starting jerking which obviously one can relate to a fuel problem. On the way to taking the car to Ford ( Lazarus Ford Centurion) the warning light on instrument panel came on indicating something wrong with braking system (ECR light). The bakkie was recently serviced which was concerning but be it as it may I had to book the bakkie in under "walk in customer"meaning no appointment. A "walk in customer"actually means that you get treated like a second grade customer - low and behold about hour and half later a workshop foreman came to see what was the issue. Anyways he said I must book in as walk in customer. Long story short - I have extended warranty plan ( thank goodness) . Issue is that it is almost 2 weeks that I have no bakkie and having to UBER everyday to work and back at my cost! I am having to phone Lazarus Ford daily for an update to be told that the claim has been approved and now parts have to be ordered and then parts to be fitted etc etc - is a 2-3 week period acceptable ( glow plugs and ABS brake booster to be replaced). I do believe that Ford is not living up to it's standard. Really disappointing to say the least!
