Good day, I bought a new Ford EcoSport in March 2017, which is only last year. Very happy with the vehicle and will tell anybody to invest in such a vehicle. Unfortunately, when I took my vehicle for the 30 000 service, I already have a clutch that shutters. Received my vehicle back and was told that they cannot find anything wrong. • Again on 45k service, I again told the people that the clutch have a shatter. This is not supposed to be on a vehicle with this kms. • 2 weeks ago, my vehicle suddenly did not want to start, next moment it starts again, Eventually the vehicle was towed to Lazarus Ford in Centurion on 30 Oct after it did not want to start at all. This was eventually sorted out after the second time!
• I said to Tony, Service Manager at Lazarus that they have to check the clutch as this is not acceptable and should not shutter. On Friday afternoon, Tony send me an email that the clutch was tested and the level of shatter is acceptable. If I want to replace the clutch, I would have to pay my 50% resulting in R 4000. So this tells me that there is actually a problem with the clutch, but this is my problem and not Fords. Why is there a warranty and this I told Ford already a while ago. The above is totally unacceptable. I am still a Ford fan, but after the treatment I got, not so much anymore!!! This is a R 320 000 car and a clutch is not supposed to give problems after 30 000km and then I get this attitude!!!! No NO No The Dealer principle, Gerhard was copied in all the email replies between myself and Tony and until now, no response, so I take it that the entire ordeal is approved by him. I contacted Ford SA to assist. Got one phone call back with a ref and now it has been 2 weeks, nothing.
