No feedback on high service cost query

I requested a quote from two different Ford agents for a 150 000km service on my Ranger 3.2 4x4 auto during the morning of 8 May 2017. As I did not get a response from either agent by late afternoon I stopped at the one closest to my route and went inside and got a quote from one of the service representatives. I was shocked at the cost of the service and especially the cost of the lubricants needed. In particular the rear differential oil that was over R600 a litre.

The next morning I received another quote from the same agent by email. This quote now also included a timing chain and timing chain guides and the same differential oil was now over a R1000 a litre! The total cost of the service was around R18 700! Needless to say my life expectancy was reduced by a few days right there.

I contacted Ford South Africa via your Facebook page and was assured that the customer service team will be in contact with me. 24 hours later i contacted them again and i was again assured that customer care will attend to me ASAP. tomorrow it will be 2 weeks and NOTHING. My vehicle is now 1800km over its service. It is still under extended warranty so servicing elsewhere will void the warranty which I cant afford as i have been complaining about excessive play in the drivetrain since the 60 000km service. The service department could not find a solution for this during any of the subsequent services and it is becoming progressively worse.

Now the lubricants used by ford are Castrol products rebranded as Motorcraft. If Ford cannot supply these lubricants at a reasonable price then at least give me the specification or Castrol equivalent of the oils so I can source them myself and get my vehicle serviced without jeopardising the warranty.

Lastly please go and check if you still have a customer relations team. I think they all left after the previous Ford PR blooper
