No assistance with a strange issue on a Ford Kuga
I Bought a Ford Kuga in 2014. Unfortunately, it was a 2013 model that had the overheating issue. This was sorted out and fixed. Recently the Kuga started to miss, I phoned my regular dealer Motus Ford in Kempton Park to get the vehicle in to be checked and was told they could only see me on the 26th of March this was more than a week away, worried that I would cause damage to my motor I took the Car to Basil Green in Edenvale who kind were enough to take it in the very next day. On investigation they could find nothing except for the fact that the number 3 and 4 spark plugs were loose and that the bottom of the one spark plug had supposedly broken off and fallen into the engine. This vehicle was serviced by Motus Ford in Kempton Park every year and was last serviced in Oct/Nov 2022 and according to the service manager they did not need to change the spark plugs as the milage between services did not warrant it. I wrote to Ford SA for assistance but got nothing more than a copy of the email forwarding my complaint to Motus and nothing more. The result of this is, that I need to come up with 130k to replace my motor. Needless to say, this is one Ford Kuga that will become a chicken cope as there is no way I can come up with this kind of money as I am retiring this year.
