New Buy Complaint

We bought a brand new car at Ford Kempton Park (not a Demo, or secondhand car), went to collect the car from the dealership yesterday, and the car had a dent(the size of a R5 coin) on the door, and scratches on the plastic trim in the boot (as if boxes was taken out of the boot, and was moved over the trim.) The sales person told us that they had someone who would remove the dent for us- a dent on a brand new car? The whole panel on the inside of the door would be removed to remove the dent- the perfect situation for a “rattle noice” to make an appearance, in my opinion, and my concern. Not to mention the procedure of dent removal- on a brand new car. We refused to take the car, and the manager- after a discussion and full agreement from her side, told the sales person to order a new car for us. This morning we receive this email from the dealership: This vehicle that we wanted to deliver to you yesterday is a vehicle we carried over from last month and it has not been influenced at this year’s price. Hence why I was able to increase the discount which I told you on the Saturday when we first met. So if we pull you a new vehicle (which we are might be able to because there is hardly any stock left) it won’t be at the same price as it will be affected at this year’s price. We are having the EcoSport that is on the floor fixed today and its getting a new bumper done either today or tomorrow. The dent on the door is being done this morning and the person that is doing it isn’t going to be removing any panels as he said it will be pulled from the outside because it’s easier where the dent is situated. So ***xx has been copied into the mail as she would like to know if you are happy to pay last year’s price on the vehicle and wait till the vehicle has had all the small issues fixed OR wait and see if we can get a new one and then the price will change by R7,000 as per the new price. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the choice between the two. Regards We were never informed that it was a 2017 model. We were told it is a 2018 model. We were never informed about any damage on the car, until the moment we saw it on collection.
