Never buy Ford again
First of all I thought that the previous incident was a once off occurrence, but I misjudged myself in bringing my other vehicle also in for a service, and this time also for a 1st service.
I purchased two brand new vehicle last year from Ford, which I though is great cars. Till date I still think so, but the question now in my mind is will I ever again….. probably not and that is only due to service.
Yesterday I brought my Ford Ranger Wildtrak in for a 1st service (20 000km). I was informed that Ford will look well after my vehicle. I thought so, but that was just another misleading factor.
On my initial arrival II handed all documentation to the service advisor, Eloise Dibley.
With the service I requested for the maintenance plan to be used also, that would have included: - Replacement of brakes - Replacement of Pollen filter - Replace Glow plug.
As I bought the Premium Maintenance Plan I did believe that all will be covered. I also handed four door steps to the advisor requesting for them to be installed. I was provided with a quote of one hour labour. I accepted this as well as the fact when I was called about two (2) chips marks that were on my windscreen. That was done and I paid the bill for that.
In the morning, when a driver named Lawrence was to take me to work, he had to turn around as the vehicle (Ecosport) we were driving with did not have any fuel, and he had to go back and get a slip[ to fuel the vehicle at the garage across the road. This is very nice adverti*****t for Ford.
in the afternoon, just after 16:00 I received my vehicle back.
The problems I had to endure:
- The brakes were never replaced Will Ford pay the maintenance back to me as it seems to be useless. - The pollen filter never replaced Will Ford pay the maintenance back to me as it seems to be useless. - The Glow plug never replaced Will Ford pay the maintenance back to me as it seems to be useless. - The steps never installed - Damage on my vehicle - Dirty vehicle
As I paid for the maintenance plan, what is the use of it, if it is never to be used. Will Ford pay the maintenance back to me as it seems to be useless. expenses.
The steps were never fitted as the advisor indicated that they ran out of time. I do not believe this due to the following:
I was the 1st vehicle there the morning at 06:30 when the gates opened. My vehicle was with Ford from 06:30 till 16:00 that left you with more than 9 hours. On my invoice there were only one (1) hour of labour. So I can’t see how you ran out of time.
I received my vehicle back with damage as per photo 1 and phot 2, not even to talk about scratches that were never there. That was also shown to the advisor Eloise when I received my vehicle.
My vehicle was still very dirty and as even per remark of the advisor, more dirty than received. She had to take special soap or something as wipe all the dirty mark of the vehicle that looked like oil marks or something. I mean this was dirty, not sports or even small marks but the whole bonnet.
Even the back of the cab was still dirty. Eloise indicated that she doesn’t even want to look further.
I phoned you about the matter, and you indicated that that is not your type of service and seemingly someone did not do their work. Based on that statement of yours, you indicated that I must leave it in your hands and you will come back to me by today before 10:00.
5 and a halve hours later even you did not come back. Now I look back at your statement above and I wonder………….
Is this the type of service you are giving to your customers or is it just me. I did not happen once, but twice. I can express how much disappointed I am as earlier in the morning I looked at the certificate indicating best branch I think in 2016.
I am in the process of buying a new car, and was already busy with Ipeleng, but I will withdraw my application on a new Ford Ecospoprt.
I will therefor rather go to another vehicle brand.
I am totally disappointed as empty promises seems to be the motto of your branch and specially your department.
