My Family's safety was put at risk because of the Ford Ecosport

In January of 2015 I bought a Ford Ecosport from Ford Fury in Fourways. Shortly after I bought the car, I had to return, because the chairs was not filled in correctly. Shortly after I received the car back, I had to return it again, because of a faulty battery and had to wait 3 days for this to be fixed (Don't understand why this took 3 days). I then used the car fine with no incident for the rest of the year, In early February 2016, I took the car in for its first service, and in the service, I was informed that the car would have to come back because there was an oil leak (I did not see an oil leak at all) and the gearbox needs to be replaced. A week later, I returned the car, for the gearbox to be replaced, and received it back the same day but the clutch never felt the same. A few days later, the car would not start while at work, I called Ford and they said the battery is flat, and I should try to jump start it. I did that, and the car started up, I proceeded home, and found my car is now leaking. I contacted ford and took the car back to them, where they then came back and said that they had to replace the clutch (Why this could not be picked up when replacing the gearbox, shows how little observant they are, or maybe they just try to avoid work). I got my car back a few days later, only to notice the that left hand side head light was not working. I returned the car again, and they replaced the head light. After using the car for a few weeks, the car died again, and I was able to jump start it. At this stage, I thought nothing of it. But then, my family's safety was put at risk about a week later when my car would not start at 8pm at night in the middle of the Randburg CBD. I tried to jump start it, and it would start, but 30secs later, the car's electrics would no longer work, which made the car unusable. I called ford to have it towed and proceeded to make arrangements to get my family home. We had to wait about an hour in the car, with the doors locked for our safety for someone to come fetch my family and my car. The car was then returned to the dealer, and they had to replace the alternator now. I received the car back a few days later, only to find, that now the right hand side lights where not working. I took the car back again, fortunately, this time, they just didn't plug in the lights, and plugged it in then and there. I then used the car for a few weeks, and then on Wednesday the 27th I was on my way to Pretoria as we had a day planned for my wife's birthday. When we drove into Pretoria, the car started making a terrible noise. And at the first robot, when I tried to pull off, the car suddenly jerked back, nearly causing a Taxi to drive into us. (Again, my family's safety was put at risk here). I eventually had to pull off in 2nd gear only and finally got to our destination just in time to catch our train. Later that day, when we returned to the car, I tried to put the car into reverse, but it would not go into reverse, so I had no choice, but to push the car out of the parking bay. I then proceeded home, but every time I took my foot off the petrol, the car would slip out of gear. The next day, I took the car back to ford and complained to them about the car, and told them that I do not want the car no more as there is always a problem. They eventually come back, and said the clutch needs to be replaced. My point is, that to date, everything on this car, has been replaced on warranty, and when the warranty runs out, I am now going to start forking out these costs. On top of that, the car is unreliable now, and it has put my family at risk not once, but twice already. As a result, I believe I have grounds now to have this car replaced at Ford's cost. However, Fords head office and the dealer ship refuse to do this, as none of them are willing to pay the costs for replacing the car. This is bad service in my book, and if I just repair the car, it is just a matter of time until this car starts acting up again. I contacted fords customer relations department, at ***, where a lady by the name Dimpho Nkomo contacted me back, and very rudely said that this was not their problem, as they only help with the facilitating of repairs. If this is true, why are they the main contact on the ford website. She also gave me a case number (***) and said that if I wanted a replacement, they will close this case. This case should stay open, as the car has not been replaced or repaired. Please, I don't want the same car back looking at the history above, you can see why. I want a reliable car, that I am sure that my families safety would not be put into question every time I use the car. I would like ford to replace the car, I don't care who has to suffer the cost, but these faults are not my fault, and I don't see why I must be penalised for a car of inferior quality. It is no use fixing the car any longer. Kind Regards Bradley
