IS THERE ANYONE STILL WORKING AT FORD SA / FORD MENLYN???
This is my Facebook post (post below this review) that I posted to Fords page on the 16th of March. After this post Ford promised to contact me. I waited for another 2 days and sent them a message requesting that someone please contact me as I have still not heard anything from them. I received another message promising that they will contact me. So today on the 22nd of March after being stuck without a car for a week I have not heard anything from Ford SA as well as not even a phone call from Ford Menlyn after having to tow my car at my own expense from Witbank to Menlyn as they will apparently sort this issue out. I understand that they must be quite busy after the latest recall of the Ford cars but how can not even a receptionist contact me to let me know what is going on with my car. Below my first Facebook message: My 2016 Ford ranger with 90,000km on the clock blew the engine after it was serviced 3 days before by Ford. I have made numerous attempts to get ahold of a ford rep looking for answers. I have been without a car for 3 days now, I had to pay to get the car towed as ford would not accept the charges. I was informed by Ford’s mechanics that this is a known issue with ford ranger and that the workshop is filled with rangers with blown engines and some with only 1000km on the clock. Can someone from ford please trouble yourself with phoning me back with a solution to my problem, I will not accept a new engine in a new car as this will reduce the value of my car, I also have no interest to drive any Ford going forward as the product quality as well as after service is horrific! You can settle my car so I can buy something else (perhaps Hilux).
