Is Ford Cars worth buying?

I bought a new Kuga in 2014 at Lazarus Ford. I took out extended warranty as well. Seeing that I am a widow I do not drive a lot. The vehicle only have 63 000kms on the odometer now. I am experiencing differential trouble now. I took the car back to a Ford Dealer and got a message from them that the problem cannot be covered under warranty because the last service I could not afford to take it to Ford. I am just wondering if this is how a Big Company like Ford treat their clients? Seeing that we have ordered a new Ranger in 2013 that could not be delivered on time! Therefore we had an accident in a Ford Focus where I lost my husband.
