Ford South Africa lets me down

I think Ive had a unfair experience with Ford South Africa.

I drive a Ford Everest XLT 2***0KM on the clock. I had a breakdown on the N1. The AA assisted me with great service to get the vehicle to the nearest dealer. After diagnosis from a dealer they found that the gearbox oil pump have gone completely and they found small metal peaces in the gearbox oil.

On 58000KM one does not expect these vehicles to give you ANY problems. Then I here that Ford South Africa wants to do patch work and only fix the gearbox. This is totally unacceptable for me, because when the vehicle goes out of warranty and the gearbox breakdown again they will just tell me that I must buy an new gearbox from them.

My point is when the shoe is on the other foot they don't want to come to the table. I must buy a new transmission but when the transmission breaksdown under warrenty and Ford SA must pay for the repairs. Then they do patch work..

For me this is very upsetting and I will not trust that vehicle and Ford SA again.
