Ford South Africa has no value for their customers lives or safety

I am wondering why we even bother rating Ford anymore. As they have a one star rating and does not seem to care about it.

I purchased my first Ford Tourneo Custom in 2023 and never have I been more disappointed in a company that lies about why severely important parts like the springs on a suspension has been redesigned. After slowly driving through a pothole in Bethlehem my vehicle's left back spring breaks down the middle. After waiting 3 weeks for a replacement part, I find out that the new part is thicker and wider than the original. Now Ford customer care tells me that the part was just "Redesigned" not for safety purposes but for another undisclosed reason! I have to replace the right hand side part now on my expense as the vehicle can not drive due to this. And Ford Customer Care has the audacity to tell me that is not their problem!

Please, if you are planning on buying a Van for your family DO NOT BUY A FORD. There are plenty of honest companies like Hyundai en VW that manufacture vehicles that are safe and reliable.

SPARE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION! BUY ANYTHING BUT A FORD!

And to Ford... May your new Wildtrack be a massive expense and loss and may you loose customers as often and consistently as we experience load shedding.
