Ford service department ****
I own a Ford Kuga 2014 which I bought in 2017. Since my purchase i have religiously serviced it at Ford N1 City Cape Town. Up until January 2024 when I experienced mechanical issues with the car, I could not take it to my usual dealership to have it checked as they were fully booked so I took it to my local mechanic. Upon inspection of the vehicle he discovered that the vehicle had the original spark plugs, air filters and oil was low despite having been serviced 4 months prior. I work from home so I hardly use the car. My suspicion is the technical staff tick all the requisite boxes for a full service but do not actually replace anything. They then ***** these parts for resale on the secondary market. As a result of using consumable parts that are worn out I’ve had numerous mechanical issues with my car ever since which cannot be resolved without costing me their exorbitant fee. My suggestion is when taking your car to Ford, always ask for the old parts and dispose off them yourself. This could deter this costly ************ system.
