Ford **** on insurances and customers
My car Ford Ecosport 2013 Auto was towed to City Ford after I had a breakdown. They did a diagnoses and claimed 44k from my warrany insurance for clutch replacement, that was March 2018. In June 2018 I took my car for service and they did 100k services and was told they had to change the cambelt, drive belt because I was over 90k,though not on a 100k as yet.
Immediately after that service I noticed that my car had no power and the clutch slipped, espicially on incline. I went to City Ford and was told foreman drove the car and could find ant fault. A few days after the same thing persisted and I asked my partner to take the car in- they test drove the car and then did a software upgrade. Problem continued and I went back the 3rd time. Manager drove with me,came back and said carusy be booked in- I was later told I needed a new gearbox.
Claim was put in for a further 88k but my insurance declined and sent car for a second opinion at Mayfair Gearbox, who in their diagnosis said if the TCM is not changed together wuth the clutches it causes oil to leak, thus damaging the clutches.
Insurance does not cover as they say problem was due to wear&tear, however Ford claims they did change the TCM. Pleas help because I think Ford is respondible because if they did replace the seal/vulve why is it worn out after 3 months
