FORD SA HORRIBLE!!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH FORD! I have a Ford Wildtrak Auto, Top of the Range. I bought it 8 Months ago. I took the liberty of taking out every possible Maintenance, Service & Extended Warranty on my Vehicle. This is also not my first Wildtrak, but from my HORRIBLE Experience with FORD for the last 2-3 weeks, I WILL NEVER Buy another FORD Again. I'm out of town with my Husband & 2 kids. In another Province & my 8 months old BRAND NEW Top of Its Range Wildtrak has an Unexpected breakdown. I call AA to Tow my vehicle, they take me & my family to the Closest FORD Dealer. The Dealership tells me all Techs are all about to go home & they don’t have a courtesy vehicle. After I made numerous calls myself to FORD SA, I then manage to get a Car Hire, which I waited for until 19h00 the evening standing outside the dealership. They Did 1 test on my vehicle while waiting & the vehicle started once with no issues. The Technician started the vehicle one time & it started immediately with no dash warnings or fault code & no signs to what they now claim is the problem. The technician said he would have to do more tests but off hand seems to be an electrical problem, he also plugged in his computer & did an electrical test. Ford says on the Monday it will take 24- 48hrs for tests results to be done, after which they will give me feedback. The following week Monday I'm still waiting for test results, but the dealer assures me our car rental was extended until Friday & they will try to speed up test results. Tuesday morning I get a call from the Car Rental asking where they can collect the vehicle as that is their instructions from Ford. I phoned the dealer, now all of a sudden they have the results back & it is an out of warranty claim. Their Manager calls us later the afternoon, explains that there is severe damage to the entire fuel system & this is LONG Term Damage. Filters are Full of Muck/Sludge. If this is "Long Term Damage" why did my R700k Vehicle not give any warnings??? No Warning lights, No Engine Light, NO signs what so ever while driving, No Lack in driving performance, NO Signs What so Ever. Why did the dealership not pick anything up when I serviced my vehicle with THEM just over 2 months ago. If there was any indication that something was wrong, being a female driver with OODels of warrantys , etc I would have taken my vehicle in for Testing. Now, after being out of town for almost 3 weeks, Ford says this severe damages are not covered by Warranty. If it’s such "severe long term damage" why did their vehicle not give any warning??? Why did another dealership confirm (& I have the recording) that a Wildtrak will give warning sighns, the vehicle will go in limp mode & engine lights are supposed to come on. If its long term damage why did the dealership that serviced the vehicle not pick it up 2 months ago?? Now I'm stuck in another province, for MUCH Longer then what I expected, Incurring Hotel Bills, My kids are out of School & FORD is fitting me with a R58 000 Bill. For a vehicle that is state of the art, but couldn't give any warning. After 3 weeks of HELL Dealing with Ford & incurring additional unexpected costs for a Brand New Vehilce that has every Warranty Possible I now have to fork out an additional R58 000. NOT FAIR, NOT ACCEPTABLE. FORD MUST COME TO THE PARTY. I WILL PAY ANY NEWSPAPER TO TAKE THIS STORY PUBLIC FOR ME, BECAUSE THIS IS DAY LIGHT ******* BY A BIG CORPORATION!!
