and so the sage continues.....Response from FORD SA:

"Management has come back to advise we will have to replace the bin of your vehicle and have the mirrors replaced or repainted through warranty. These concerns don’t raise any mechanical issues with the vehicle.

Paint runs is normal in the paint production process which is driven by a principle called static wrap-around but should be inspected and repaired in plant. Looking at the bonnet run marks that would be within standard and not repaired in facility but can be repaired if it’s an issue. Both will have no detrimental effect on vehicle quality and both are a very simple paint repair which we have the right to cover in warranty.

I am waiting for the dealers to advise on the next step and will keep you posted on when vehicle will be booked in."
