Ford SA - ETA's are a **********
I’m very disappointed in the manner that this matter has been handled, below is a series of events.
Autobody communicated the following: - Insurance Approval [19 July 2023] - Disassembly [21 July 2023] - Waiting for Parts [31 July 2023]
ETA’s on the Steering Rack 1st : 12 August 2023 2nd : 25 August 2023 3rd : 4 September 2023 4th : 8 September 2023 5th : 11 September 2023 6th : 13 September 2023 (more extensions coming till December - I've given up)
It will be most welcome to be told that the part will be available in 3 months (upfront) - so that I can plan on moving away from Ford - & not bother the insurer/bank/autobody/Ford etc.

10 Sept 2023, 11:21Eventually the part was delivered to the auto body shop on the 7th September 2023. Clearly this is a result of poor logistics & zero systems being enforced. The part was probably in the country somewhere, but they could not locate it on their own system.
They can avoid all of this by partnering or setting up proper logistics tools / processes we are in 2023. Fingers crossed it’s a correct part.
