FORD recall on Manual Gearbox cars

Background of my issue with FORD SA:

On the 20th March 2018 I saw a ford recall on eNCA news (https://www.enca.com/south-africa/ford-sa-issues-recall-for-a-number-of-cars) and wheels24 (https://m.wheels24.co.za/News/Industry_News/ford-sa-recall-focus-kuga-and-vans-affected-by-clutch-issue- ********** 0) with regards to manual gearboxes on certain Ford cars. I then called FORD SA (Call Ref: ********** 0) regarding an issue (clutch slippage) that relates to the recall but for a different Ford vehicle (2013 Ford Fiesta ST 1.6 EcoBoost) only to be told my car (manual gearbox) is not on the campaign. How did the other cars get on this recall? So do I have to pay R2000 for my car to be stripped before my car is listed on the campaign?

On the 8th of February 2018 I booked in my car (2013 Ford Fiesta ST 1.6 EcoBoost SCTi) for the “clutch Slippage”, but I could not explain the issue so I asked the technician (bloemfontein workshop) to investigate. They then checked my car but told me that there is nothing wrong with the car.

On the 9th March 2018 I then took the car back again, but this time I took the technician for a drive. He then dignosed the car and said it’s a “clutch slippage”. Please take into a account that I have been driving my car ever since I was told nothing is wrong with my car. I then requested the Client Service Consultant to request authorisation from my Warranty and Maintance Plan. Only to be quoted R22 236-86 pending T’s & C’s on the warranty and plan. These plan do not cover me fully. Why is my car or other Ford manual gearbox cars not on this campaign? . Regards, Itumeleng Sehau **********
