Ford Really Sucks

My son purchased a Ford Fiesta 1 Liter Ecoboost in 2018. The car has been diligently serviced since purchasing it. On the way to PE the engine gave in, caused by flaking of the wet belt which resulted in a catastrophic engine failure. Ford quoted him R146k to replace the engine.

Upon investigation he found out the Ford in the US have recalled 140000 vehicles for exactly this issue and Ford is being sued in a class action in the US there are also thousands of complaints on social media for exactly this issue.

Clearly this is a latent defect and Ford is in breach of both common law and the consumer protection act. However thy know that the average person cannot take them on in court so they just refuse to admit any liability.

The wet belt issue is a design fault in many of the Ford engines, so for anyone thinking of purchasing a Ford vehicle beware; Ford wont help you if their ****py design fails as has happened to thousands of people who purchased these vehicles.

I will never buy another Ford and strongly advise anyone thinking of doing so to think again.
