Ford Ranger Door Lock Faulty

As per numerous write ups re: Door Latch failure on the Ford Rangers in South Africa,

Called into Ford SA, spoke to an unsympathetic consultant named Seth. When I inquired if this issue has come to there knowledge, I received an affirmative confirmation and when asked whats the way forward, "no one knows!". Sadly, he refused to put me through to a manager to discuss this matter.

Surprisingly, it seems that in Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia there were recalls made for these same issues.

Is Ford South Africa avoiding this issue and forcing people to foot the bill for there mistakes?
