Ford Ranger DC XLT

2023 Ford Ranger Doble Cab XLT Review I am unsure if I am missing something with the New Ford Ranger DC XLT 2023, but I think that I should highlight what the motoring journalists are not saying. For context, I am driving my third Ford Ranger DC XLT since 2013. My understanding was that XLT stands for Extra Luxurious Trim. When looking at replacing our third Ranger with the NEW ‘’XLT”, I got a few surprises. The new “XLT” does not come standard with leather seats, like the previous model. As opposed to the outgoing model, the new one does not have a service plan included. Furthermore, it comes with 16-inch wheels, as opposed to the outgoing model, which came standard with 17-inch wheels. 17-inch wheels are an optional extra on the new model. The salesman also informed me that the new “XLT” is also less powerful in kilowatt output when compared with the older model. The hideous light configuration on the “XLT” reminds one of the old Ford Ranger from the nineties. I cannot understand how we moved from sleek and aerodynamic, good-looking to bulky and ugly. The worse part is that the world seems to embrace it. The new “XLT” is not including the Extra Luxurious Trim as standard and should be rebranded as XLT as optional. For the first time in more than a decade, I am looking at replacing my REAL XLT with a Toyota. I am not happy with the new model.
