Ford not worried to assist

3 weeks ago I purchased a 2017 Ford Everest XLT which still has 2 years on the motor warranty and service plan and only 40 000kms on the clock. In the first week, less than 200 kms after I purchased the vehicle, the engine packed up. I purchased the vehicle privately and had all the checks done before Wesbank financed it. All service plans are up to date and all done by Ford. The vehicle has been with Ford now for 2 weeks and I was told by them it can take 6-8 weeks before I get it back again as they are very busy at the moment and there is a long process involved.

Then after 1 week of no courtesy car being available, they advise that one has come in. Upon collecting the vehicle, they ask me to sign that I am aware of the R70 000 excess in the event of any damages... Which of course I did not agree to (Who would?).... Now, I sit with no vehicle and this for the next 6-8 weeks.... What makes matters worse is that they now tell me that they can't even guarantee that that the engine will be replaced under the warranty as it depends if it was caused by negligence with me. They advised that the pistons cracked due to the car over-fueling. I drove the car twice to work and I can't see how tht can be me. They say Ford is busy and they not sure how long it will take FORD SA to make a decision. Then only if they approve it, can they order a new engine for me .... Surely after 2 weeks FOrd can mke a decision... I have left numerous messages but they have not phoned me once. ....

I am alone with 2 young kids and we are battling with no transport. But I will still need to pay the R8000 instalment and R1200 insurance YET they are not worried about taking their time
