Ford, Nelspruit - Ford South Africa

Wow, I haven’t written a review on Hello Peter for a very long time, now this is my second review in the past week!! What is happening to professional service in this country. We visited Ford Nelspruit looking for a quote on a new Ford Ranger Super Cab XLT! This is our third Ford purchase. After going through all the details with the Salesman there, Francois, my husband went through the what he wanted on the vehicle. Towbar - comes standard we were told, pointing to a double cab model on the floor, he asked Francois if the vehicle came with the strap down clips on the sides of the vehicle, yes, they come standard we were told. So we go and collect our vehicle yesterday, all nicely covered up with the usual ribbon etc. we sign documents to take over the vehicle, all excited, cover comes off, my husband notices that there are no tie down clips. When he asks where they are, he says hold on, disappears, comes back and says, “I’m really sorry but the XLT doesn’t come with those clips and we can’t put them on the vehicle either as an extra”. Well to say we were extremely disappointed is an understatement. The General Manager, who was also asked about this, didn’t even bother to come out of his/her office to apologize or explain. All we got was a “I’m Sorry”,. Surely your staff are professionally trained to know what each vehicle comes with or not. We left, with the vehicle, with a very bad taste in our mouth with the service we got, Ford South Africa, you should seriously look into this as it could be happening at other branches!!
