Ford makes its clients out to be ***** while providing TERRIBLE SERVICE

I have reached a point with Ford that I have had to type this to try get some help.

I’ve purchased a Ford Focus Eco boost from Ford on the 20th of December 2016, all went well and I was happy as this is my 3rd Ford and have not had problems before. The car I am experiencing problems with is **63**GP

The first problem I experienced was on the 23rd of February 2017 where I tried to turn off the car and it remained running, even with the key out. It was in the evening and Ford was closed. The car would not lock even after I stalled the car, as soon as I pushed in the clutch it would start again. I disconnected the battery in fear of my car being ****** and locked it with the key manually. In the morning when I reattached the battery, the car was back to normal. I took it to Ford, they said there is nothing wrong after taking a look at the car.

At its 20 000km service, I complained about the windscreen wipers sometimes not going all the way down properly, Ford again said there is nothing wrong. The problem was now gone after going to Ford. I am once again made out to be a ****.

On the 18th December 2017 I took it to Ford again as the engine light came on and the car went in limp mode (the turbo stopped working while I was driving), once I switched off the car it reset and was back to normal again. I took it to Ford who again said there was nothing wrong – but they can put it on a dyno but it will cost around R2 000 so they can see what is wrong. I told them no I do not want that and told them to go into the history of the computer box and they will be able to see how often it gave me the error. Eventually after a whole ordeal, the foreman of Ford The Glen decided to take the car home and drive it back to work, if there was any problems it would go into the limp mode while he was driving as this happened every single time I drove the car, the car went into limp mode while he was driving home and again on his way to work. I only got my car back on the 12th January 2018 – I had to fight to get a rental car as I had no way to get to work and back. I was told that the actuator seemed to be tampered with and I was warned that the new one was marked and if it is tampered with again it will not be covered under warranty. The problem is I bought the car from Ford and it was only serviced by Ford so I felt like this was a huge slap in my face for Ford to blame the customer for tampering with the motor in anyway.

The light switch for the car has a problem, when the car went for the 60 000km service I told them about the light switch. Once again I was told there was nothing wrong with the light switch, and the switch was working correctly again. After a month or 2 the problem is back. Why is it so hard to get service from Ford when it comes to manufacturing problems on the car and warranty claims. I am always told there is nothing wrong when clearly there is something wrong.

I am looking to upgrade my Fiesta early next year to a Ford Focus ST, but I am having serious 2nd thoughts considering the amount of problems and excuses I have received from Ford.

I have sent an email to Ford Client Services on the 4th September 2018 and was promised that I would get a response within 24 - 48 hours. I still have not received any feedback from Ford.

Disgusting Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
