Ford Kuga- worst car in SA!

On the 28 July 2023 I bought a used Ford Kuga 2018 Auto from Toyota The Glen. I was not informed that this vehicle is extremely heavy on fuel, and when I say heavy, according to a few months of accurate calculations, I am getting no more than 7km per liter. This is lower than the average commercial vehicle and falls into a similar category as a Ferrari and Masarati. I brought it to the attention of the used car manager at the branch who test drove the car and claimed to get better results but I really don't see how as I have done countless tests. I cannot afford to run a car like this. He also commented that it depends where and how I drive the car, and this specific car is only meant for open road driving, which I find strange as I mainly drive on highways at no more than the speed limit. Also, this information would have been appreciated before buying the car, not after. I am extremely disappointed in this dealership, the vehicle, and the service that I have received. The only remedy I was offered by the sales manager is to do a normal trade in of the vehicle and buy another one. Which would mean that I would lose at least R30 000-R40 000 which I find ridiculously unfair.

How is this model of car still on the road? I believe it should be recalled and altered.
