Ford Kuga Recalled...

My Wife bought a Ford Kuga 1.5 Ambiente in Dec 2013 and since then we have had numerous problems, where Ford SA and their dealerships refuse to take full responsibility for their non-action and bad service.

Recent uproars on social media and news papers in SA reported incidents that the Ford Kuga range have been catching alight while driving stirred up huge concerns on the safety and use of our car on a daily basis.

My wife received an SMS to take the vehicle to the closest dealer and upon booking the vehicle in for inspection, she was offered a "loaner" / courtesy vehicle, while told that the safety inspection will take a few days. At first I thought 'Wow', probably not bad service at all, until she called me up to explain that she needs to sign a piece of paper stating that she would be fully responsible for any damages to the loan vehicle, if she opts to use it during the testing period. Our insurance does not cover this option at all, so we are left stranded to commute to work and back, as well as change our daily lifestyle because of this oversight and lack of service, for something that Ford SA cannot take accountable responsibility for.

Only in SA would you pay for a car as well as insurance on top (because it is necessary), and not drive your car as you need or would like to... What the F#$%^&....D is happening???
