Ford Fiesta TCM problem

I am deeply disappointed not to mentioned sadned about my situation. I drive a Ford Fiesta 1.0 powershift. I had the car since December 2014. The car is in great condition. As I write my car has less than 60 000 Km. I have been diligent and never missed one service.

About a month ago I started experiencing problems with the car gears. The rpms are very high while the velocity is incredibly low. Not once did the engine light illuminate to warn me about a potential problem. When this happened, the first thing I did was call ford in Randburg where I get my car serviced. The lady responsible for service was quick to point out that my car went out of warranty in December 2017 and there was nothing they couldn’t do. I have to pay the R 900 to have the car assessed. Well I had my car assessed, the car has a problem with the clutch actuator and the TCM. The car was last serviced in December and I would have expected ford to check the transmission oil to ensure that it was sufficient and I’m still in good condition. If indeed the car was serviced then why did it incur so much damage. The worse part is the engine light didn’t go on to warn me that there is a problem with the TCM. My car is still new irrespective that it went out of warranty in December. I have been without a car for a month now because I cannot drive my car. Can Ford take responsibility and fix my car and don’t tell me it’s out of warranty. It’s going to be very costly to repair this car on my own. My argument is if the car was indeed serviced properly then the TCM and actuators wouldn’t have failed me. Can ford please take responsibly and extend the warranty to fix this TCM issue. It’s been incredibly difficult getting by without a car.
