FORD DECEIVES YOU WITH PROMISES OF THEIR WARRANTEE.

i purchased a Ford Ranger Brand new in 2018. upon purchased was promised the world with regards to the warranties, and advised on the numbers to call if we ever suffered the fate of facing a mechanical breakdown. On 09/08/2019 we did face a mechanical breakdown at approx 4.30 pm in a Durban( aproximately 150km from home). I called the number then that is when the problems began: IT WAS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY. 1. The said they where sending through AA to tow the vehicle to the closest dealership. WHICH THEY DID. 2. they promised to send security to ensure our safety : The security did not arrive. 3. we requested transportation ( Car Hire) or courtesy vehicle. THEY SAID THEY WOULD COVER ONLY R500, I WOULD NEED TO PAY FOR THE INITIAL COST OF R1500, AND IF THE CAR HIRE COMPANY HAD TO DELIVER THE CAR TO ME I WOULD NEED TO PAY R1300 OR I COULD GO TO THE AIRPORT AND FETCH THE CAR FROM THERE. THEN THE NEXT DAY I CANNOT LEAVE THE CAR AT THE LOCAL OFFICE IN pmb BUT WILL NEED TO DRIVE THE CAR BACK TO THE AIRPORT OR PAY A FURTHER 1300. 4. That is not all, they did eventually send the AA tow truck - which is a 2 seater. i asked the consultant on how we would get home, and if she was at all concerned about our safety - she suggested that the tow truck makes 2 trips, first one transporting my wife and 2 children to dump them at a local service station ( Garage) and then he can return and transport myself and a my other child to the the same. Absolutely no concern for our safety. We were strangers in a strange town and being treated in this manner is unacceptable. we never ever received a follow up call to find out if we returned home or were safe.

FORD YOUR AFTER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY POOR - I WOULD NEVER EVER PURCHASE FROM YOU AGAIN. AND I ADVISE ANY PERSON NEVER TO PURCHASE FROM THEM. THEY PROMISE YOU THE WORLD - BUT NEVER DELIVER. YOUR PRODUCT IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR BACK UP SERVICE/ AFTER SALES SERVICE.

BY THE WAY WE ONLY ARRIVED HOME AT 10PM
