Ford 2L Bi-Turbo Wildtrak

Hi Ford team

So I decided to go from Toyota to Ford and not any ford the New Ford 2L Bi-Turbo. Little did I know or trust that all the ford stories are real. My ford is now 23000Km's in its life and there fails the air-conditioner. So I phone Ford Rustenburg (where I bought the car) and made a booking to take it in to have the air-conditioner looked at. First thing when I arrived they wanted to show me away as I need to make a booking. After explaining that I did make a booking and the lady still told me that they do not do it their selves and will be taking it to Diesel electric, they said okey they will open a job card for me.

Then the whole day passes until I went back and ended up in the waiting area waiting for my car to return. 1st The lady then tells me that Diesel Electric could not find the problem so they filled it up with gas again. 2nd When the car arrives she tells me that it is filled with gas but also with dye as they cannot find the fault. 3rd Then some old guy comes in and says that they did find the fault and a rock damaged a pipe.

I was then told they will log the claim and it would take a week to process it and receive the part. A week passed and no feedback. I ended up phoning them asking them what is going on.

The return message I got was that the rock damaged it and that it cannot be done under warrantee and I would need to pay R6000+ for the pipe to be replaced (Really R6000 for a pipe). Needless to say I still do not accept this answer as the car is new and I looked at the grill and no pipes is exposed from the front, thus what ever pipe they are referring to should be somewhere inside. Again I do not accept this as this means there is a design flaw and it means what ever internal pipe is exposed and not protected the way your engine and inner components should be.

I trust you will re-consider on my complain and have it fixed.

Should ford fail, I will make use of all available options to me to have it fixed at Ford’s cost.

Regards
