Faulty car and warranty decline to repair
I bought my car(Ford EcoSport) in February 2014, and since then it has been giving me problems. The first break down happened within the first 6 months and it was towed in to the dealer of which they said the battery was dead and it was replaced then.
And later i booked it in again because there was a leakage somewhere on the engine and also requested them to service it as it was almost due for first service. When i collected the car later that day i was told that there was no leakage and they couldn't service the car because is not yet due and i must bring it back when it has reached 20 000km.
On the 29th of August I got stuck again and i called AA on 31 August to come and tow the car to the dealer(Ford Steyns Auto). The problem is the water leak due to a faulty water pipe which caused the engine overheat. I was later told that the warranty declined to cover the repairing cost because i brought the car late for service of which the car was still under 20 000 km and i should pay 25% of the total cost. My concern is they said there was no leakage when i booked the car in. The car is still with them today as they do not want to account for their own mistakes.
