False Advertising

Re:Ford SA, False advertising Blow please find a serios concern regarding Ford SA and the way that customers are brought und false pretences when purchasing a Ford. The first part of the letter is what I sent so Ford SA, and below that you will find the response from Ford SA. This complete letter was sent to Ford SA for scrutiny; they were given 5 working days to dispute the content of the letter. They were also informed that the letter will be posted on all social media platforms, and general media platform, to prevent a similar reoccurrence. Please hope and pray you get wat you paid for with Ford. According to their response, you should be happy with what you get, they have the power to change any and everything, the only thing that remains the same will be the price. But that might also change by the looks of things. If you agree that what Ford does to customers are unacceptable, please forward and share this experience and Ford SA response with everyone. Letter To Ford SA from Jik Riesenbeek I bought a new V6 Wildtrak in February 2025. I looked at the website to compare models and vehicle specifications. Once I was happy with the specifications I ordered my New Ranger from Human Motors Welkom. I was extremally happy with the receipt of my new vehicle. I had a 2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak Bi-Turbo, and I fully enjoyed the vehicle. The specifications of the new Wildtrak stated that it was equipped with park assist, I even googled on how the system works. The sales representative told me that I can come back to the dealership so that he can show me exactly how the self-parking system works. On my arrival he found that my new Ranger does not give me the self-park option on the screen. It only shows the possible parking areas, that any GPS system can do. We had a look at a brand-new vehicle that stood on the showroom floor and that vehicle was equipped with the self-park system. They stated that they will check my vehicle in the workshop. The Ranger was booked in and a day later I received a reply form the dealership that Ford SA decided to remove the self-park feature, and that my vehicle was not equipped with it. The sales personnel at Human Motors Welkom stated that I will be barking up the wrong tree, and that I need to settle with Ford SA decision to make changes on the vehicles. Well, I am not happy with the outcome. It is truly unacceptable for a company like Ford SA to change vehicle specifications without changing the Ford website. Potential buyers look at the website, compare models and even different makes, and when they decide to purchase the second biggest capital outlay of any person, except from buying a house. Only to find that you do not get what you paid for. This is false adverti*****t, and any lawyer will agree with me on the above-mentioned statement. My new million rand plus Wildtrak has less features in than my old 2020 model that I paid R750 000 for. I don’t think that this is acceptable. However false adverti*****t is against the law. Maybe people on social media should also be notified about my experience. I do hope that Ford South Africa can come up with a solution, otherwise I will have to take further steps regarding this. Best Regards Jik Riesenbeek
