enraged, furious, irate customer
After buying a vehicle and having to own it for a merely 4 months since then, I haven't encountered any problems up until it was due for 100km Service. I took my vehicle Ford Fiesta 1.4 to Midrand Ford Fury on the 27.03.2019 still in good condition. I handed over my car keys to Melinda with the hope that My car is in safe hands and will come back in same condition. Little did I know that hell will break loss and I will be pushed to through my toys out of the box. On the 28.03.2019 I managed to get to work with no problems until knock off time when I tried starting the vehicle and it refused and resorted to kick start so I can be able to get home to my family. Mind you, I couldn't call ford because it was already late. When I got home my helper told me that my parking spot in the garage has oil leaks and I must check the car******Guess what, the car is leaking oil underneath, from what exactly I didn't know***
Friday morning preparing to go to work I can't leave the house because the car doesn't want to start then we jump started the car. I got to the office and parked for about 30-45 minutes with my light and radio off before my shift, I then decided to check if this car is still not starting, guess what? IT IS NOT STARTING AGAIN. I work in an car insurance environment and have mechanics and panel beaters around me, I asked for help and with the timeline I've had this vehicle for, it is highly impossible to encounter such issues more especially as it just came back from service. I made a call to Ford Fury around 9am informing them about the issue and it took them 4 hours to send out a technician to my work place after i was asked by Melinda to drive to their premises as she doesn't guarantee the ET which the technician will be at my offices. I took a risk to do so after waiting for that long then suddenly Lucas calls telling me he at my workplace. I managed to get to their office with the hope that Melinda will show concern and assist instead she walked parts pretending to be so heavily busy. All i was told is that my battery was due for replacement and that the oil leak was because of the bolt not being closed properly which I see that as NEGLIGENCE . Melinda mentioned that she will speak to her manager, whom I also anticipated to meet and discuss this issues and guess what, he/she didn't even show up. Lucas told me that if the car drives out their dealership it is out of their hands and this is a component which was due for failure and told me that i will have to replace the battery at my own costs and out of being desperate to use the car for a family funeral in Polokwane, I indeed had to pay R1600 for a new battery.
It is a HUGE coincidence that my car drives out of ford fury Midrand *out of their precious hands* and my car starts giving problems, My car battery was changed an old one and no one at Ford Fury Midrand wants to be held liable for that but their excuse is that it is wear and tear and this was due to happen. Amanda from Ford Midrand she tried assisting and she also came back with the same response**wear and tear*, now the question is, what did they all investigate since that was the pick up line.
I feel i have been taken advantage off and that maybe i know nothing about cars, yes i may not have all the knowledge but i do research and with this matter I will not back down, till today no manager from ford Midrand has took it upon themselves to resolve my concerns. How do i even trust you guys ever again, how will i recommend to my friends/family. Truly speaking.. I am disgusted with service thus far as it has negatively impacted my finance and health as i'm now worries what other problems are yet to come with this car. All that i want is my reimbur*****t for replacement of a new batter and someone to hear my concerns.
