ENGINE LIGHT ON AND CAR LOSING POWER

I have a FORD Kuga 1.5 (model 2015) - I have had the exact same problem as previous customers with my vehicle in the first week of 2018. The engine service light came on and the car became very sluggish - I took the car to the FORD dealership in Bluff, Durban. They claimed that it was sorted after 11/2 hours but on my way home the light came on again. The dealership claimed that it was the very first time that they had encountered such a problem! I called the dealership and they requested that I bring the car in a few days later. I took the car to FORD in Bluff, Durban again on the 09/01/2018 and to date it is still at the dealership and nobody can tell me what is wrong, which is very frustrating. I have courtesy vehicle from FORD SA but I have no clear answer as to when the car will be sorted out or if it can be sorted out. Everyone at FORD is being very evasive about the problem so what do we as consumers do. FORD needs to be more upfront with their consumers and provide a better service. If these vehicles are potentially dangerous then they should be recalled and consumers should be paid out. My car is at the dealership for an entire month and I am paying a vehicle loan for a car that I do not have and no assurance of when this will end.
