Don't take responsibility for their product, just shift it down to somebody else

In Oct 2013 my son bought a Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost. Since then the car's engine was replaced 3 times, meaning the car have it's 4th engine sins leaving the garage. At this time and date the car only have 56000 km's on the clock. This just gives you an idea how many kilometers each engine lasts. He wrote to FordSA via email saying how disappointed he is about the car and don't want anything to do with a Ford motor car. He wanted to sell the car but how do you do this with a history like this. In his mail he asked Ford to buy the car back or just even pay the amount that he still owes on the car. So he actually complained about the bad product. The response was as follows : "As per our previous conversation FMCSA cannot get involved into sales concerns as we are not registered Financial Advisors at CRC. We have referred the matter to the DP at the dealership, in order to contact you regarding your request for evaluation and buy back of your vehicle. FMCSA has honoured our warranty agreement in terms of the 4 year warranty on your vehicle. As such FMCSA will close our case."

So what we understood of this is the fact that FordSA don't take responsibility for their own product. They only manufacture the product. The DP of the branch N1 City Cape Town phoned us about 2 weeks ago to ask about our complaint. Last Friday the 25th of May, we asked him to phone us and he could hardly remember the facts on this matter. He said he will ask the secondhand dealer to contact us. It's Monday and nothing yet. We just want to get rid of the car but they don't even want to buy their own poor product back.

The case nr SA CRC CASE Ford: ********** 63o. We think Fordsa should sort this problem out and not the dealership, they only sell the product. The bad engine and the history of the car is the manufactures problem. The best of all is the excuse that they can't find the whole history of the car on their system. Would you want to keep a product like this or even look somebody in the eye and sell it. I don't think so.
