Dont recommend ford sa

I took my ford ranger Xlt to them for warranty work on the gearbox, they then sent it to their gearbox specials mayfair gearbox who then fixed the gearbox with a reconditioned one.

when test driving the ranger the water pipe burst and they kept driving the car which occurred in damage to the motor, the motor is now totally damaged and then mayfair took it back to ford where I then got a quote of R110000 excluding labour to fix the damage that was done to my car by ford and their sub contractor .

where they refuse to come to a conclusion to fix the damages to my ranger, and try put the blame on me as the customer for their actions

my car is still with them and I have been forced to lawyer's and the ombudsman which could take forever to be concluded or for an outcome.

I contacted Ford SA who said that they will lodge a complaint , when asking how I could follow up on it and how they will fix my problem where Ford SA said they will lodge a internal investigation but I will not know what will come out of it as it is internal and that there is not much they can do as every dealership is an entity on it's own

so I dont want to say the car is bad but ford will not look after you or your car and only care about themselves and making money

which is sad as I have 2 fords and love the machine
