Don't ever buy a Figo!

<p>I am really unhappy about the amount my Ford Figo has cost me in services and repairs during the last two years.</p> <p> </p> <p>I bought my 1.4 Ambiente NEW in 2011 - I thought I was buying a small, relatively cheap and LOW MAINTENANCE car...</p> <p> </p> <p>NOT! The nonsense started in 2015, after four years and about 60 000 km. Shortly before the car was due to go for its service in 2015, the water pump broke unexpectedly. It cost me approximately R5000 to have the water pump replaced at a Ford dealership.</p> <p> </p> <p>Then in 2016, my car went for its 5th service (the "100 000 service", although my car had only clocked about 70 000 km at that stage). I ended up paying almost R8000 for that service. But I understood that it had been a big service and I thought that my car should be sorted for the next 3-4 years... NOT!</p> <p> </p> <p>Yesterday, it went for its 6th service (the "120 000 km service", although my car is just short of 80 000 km) and this service cost me almost R5000! This is unacceptable! Firstly, as I mentioned earlier: it is a small and relatively cheap car - a normal service is not supposed to cost almost R5000. Secondly, I paid almost R8000 for the "big" service in 2016 - and if I pay that amount for a relatively cheap car's service then the car should better be fine for the next few years.</p> <p><br />This is unacceptable. Are you making other motorists pay for all the Kugas that burned out? </p> <p> </p>
