Dissatisfaction of service at ford Pietermaritzburg chatterton road.

I bought my brand new ford figo trend in 2018, upon purchase i was informed that i have service plan which entails that I’m due for a service every 20000 km or annually, whichever one comes first. On the 30th of January 2019 i took it in for my first service and the service went great including interaction with staff. On the 26th of December 2019 my car overheated and steam was coming from the hood of my car, on the 27th I contacted the dealership and the lady i spoke to said i can book my car in but it will only be looked at mid January as the workshop staff were out of office til then. Because i was still able to drive the car around and had to use it to get to work i drove around with a bottle of water incase the problem started again. On the 10th the car overheated again and I contacted the dealership again this time booking it in, the lady who assisted me then told me that my service plan had expired and that i cannot bring it in to be fixed under warranty as it requires every service to checkout before they can look at the car, after explaining to her that I wasn’t aware that my service plan would expire on the 8th she said she understands and that I can bring the car in on the 22nd of January for both service and fixing..when i arrived on the day i booked my car in and was dropped off at work. 30 minutes later my service advisor called me telling me that they cannot do anything on the car as the service plan had expired on the 8th of Jan 2020 unless i opt for a cash service and only then will the warranty be in effect, i told them that i had no idea that my service plan would expire on the 08th and further expressed that no one has ever mentioned the expiry date of my plan, even after the first service no one informed me that the following service i would have to come back in before or on the 08th if i still want to enjoy my service plan benefit before it expires. When i was put through to the manager he said that there’s nothing they can do and that i should take it up with the agent who made the sale to as it’s in my contract and it should have been communicated to me and that i had signed for it. Trying to explain to him how this detail was not outlined to me he then maintained that i signed an agreement and that’s that, there’s nothing he can do. My mother further contacted ford south Africa customer care and the lady then told her that there’s nothing they can do for me..I want to pursue further with my complaint until something is done. Im now stuck having to drive around a car that overheats everytime I’m stuck in traffic at the risk of getting my engine and other parts bust. I feel ford failed me as i feel I’m still within my annual service benefit.
