Disgruntled customer
I am writing to you in great disappointment after my 2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak, which I purchased on the 30th January, which nearly caused my wife and I an accident on the N12 highway. On my way to dinner to Bedfordview.
Whilst the vehicle was in motion, there was a clicking sound with a warning message displayed in the info box stating that the transmission has overheated. The vehicle then ceased to respond to acceleration, even though the transmission was in drive mode. We were travelling at an average speed of 100km/hr.
My concern is that the vehicle did not respond after accelerating, which meant I had to swerve towards the emergency lane, putting other drivers at risk of colliding with us.
I have been a loyal customer to the Ford group and this is my 2nd Ford Ranger Wildtrak. My first Ford was purchased back in 2018, and was a Ford Ranger 3.2 Wildtrak, which at the time was also purchased new.
I have always been advocating for the brand to my business partners, employees and my followers (800k +) on social media , which is why without I doubt I kept on purchasing the latest models, but after this evening I am really disappointed and in doubt if I would ever set foot in another Ford again, unless otherwise convinced that this would not be a recurring issue.
