Disappointing Ford service and assistance
In 2016 I bought a Ford Focus 1.5 Ecoboost. In October 2017 the car started to miss and the engine eventually gave out. So the car was taken to Consolidated Ford in Boksburg. The engine sub assembly was exchanged - 9 weeks later. Piston no 2 was the culprit (or so I was told). Then the car was taken back because the front suspension was loose. I took the car back AGAIN after that as there was a very irritating miss on the engine. Ford said - no problem (this was February 2018) I was asked to bring the car in after its 60 000 km service as there was a fire catching issue with the clutch on the Focus.
Then, Tuesday last week the car started to miss even worse. It got to a stage where the engine eventually died. I managed to LIMP to the wife's work in Johannesburg (I work in Rosebank) where I called Ford to come pick - up the car. To date, I don't know what the issue is. I contacted Ford SA previously where I was told to deal with the Dealer Principle, which I did. I called Neil Boonzaier and left messages for him. No response. I called the service adviser who is not answering his calls. I was cut off 3X. Now, my question is this... is this how Ford operates??? Certainly seems in line with the Kuga debacle. I need answers as I am certainly not trusting the Focus any longer. Letst see what happens from here??
