DEFECTIVE GEARBOXES

I have been an avid Ford supporter since I could afford to purchase my first vehicle. I started with a Fiesta in 2011 then in 2012 bought a Ford Focus. In 2013 I purchased the then brand new Ford Ranger 2.2l XL Double Cab.<br> <br> After a few months I heard of issues that the 3.2l Ford bakkies were having with their gearboxes.<br> <br> Apparently the gearbox cannot handle the amount of torque generated by the engine. <br> <br> Although my vehicle is just over two years old, it only has 30000km on. After I complained to the Service centre regarding a funny noise they told me that they need to replace the gearbox!!<br> <br> The inquiry was forwarded to FORD warranty office who came back and told me that I am responsible for paying 25% of their faulty parts bill? To make matters worse a few months ago I had to do the same for a faulty TURBO? <br> <br> They said because I missed my annual service, I lost 25% of my warranty. This is ridiculous, I tell you. I was out of the country for 10 months whereby my vehicle was stationary the entire time (explains the low mileage). I was not able to meet the annual service as I was sitting in the Arabian desert.
