Defective Gearbox problems which the Ford Motor Company is aware of but not actioning in South Africa

I have a 2013 Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI AWD Titanium. It has a powershift gearbox. Several days ago I experienced strange gearshifts and high revs. The message "Transmission unavailable" was displayed on the screen. This was followed by a loss in transmission. Eastern Cape Motors, South Africa (Ford) reinstalled software and did an adaptive relearning programming. They conducted a road test (this means whatever they did restored transmission). As per report, the vehicle operated normal. On the second road test, the vehicle shuddered through gears and revved up. They did a "DTC" .... P2715 Pressure control solenoid "D" stuck in low, P0796 pressure solenoid "C" performance/stuck off - transmission failure. The 180 000 service was done in August 2022. The vehicle never missed a service since new. The message "Transmission not in Park, Select P" was on on the display when I experienced the breakdown. This appeared after Ford worked on the vehicle. Has any one else experienced similar gearbox problems?

Eastern Cape Motors wants to replace the gearbox at a cost of R179 000 vat incl. The vehicle cost R159 990 vat incl (R193676 including bank finance charges - I am still paying for the vehicle) They mentioned it is repairable. Mayfair gearbox specialists (300km from my residence) estimated between R74 000 and R90 000 to repair.

Why has the Ford Motor company not replaced gearboxes of South Africans who complained. Why should I pay to replace a gearbox which has a known factory fault? Im awaiting a call from Ford SA (SrvReqNo:[***]
