Complaint for poor service at Ford Dealerships
Between 7-8 services I became aware of a rust spot on both back doors - Identical just beneath the windows. My car is 8 years old but it is not at all connected to age or neglect of the car. It took so long to show because it is well kept and maintained. It is obvious that is a manufacturing fault. I phoned customer care at 0 ********** 22 on 3 September 2018 and spoke to Kagiso *****ya - she suggested I ask for a goodwill claim. Ref no 700 468 397. My car was serviced on 15 November 2018. Jandre at N1 Dealership who handled my service admitted that the problem with the doors cannot be fixed as doors should be replaced. Ford was not prepared to pay for this (due to the age of the car) I am a 60 year old female driver, accident free and the kilometer reading is 32720. Jandre admitted it was not my fault. I phoned customer care again and spoke to Belina - she suggested that I go to another dealership for a second opinion. My reference no stayed the same. On 21 December 2018 I phoned Tygervalley branch and spoke to Harriet, who suggested that I bring the car in on 04 January 2019. They looked at the car and said I must bring back the car on 9 January 2019 which I did. Samkele Ntlokwana (Service Manager) took me to Panel craft Body works an independant panelbeater. We spoke to Ray - We agreed that my car should be booked in on 17 January 2019. I phoned Ray on 21 January (Monday) - He acknowledged that it was not due to my neglect or the age of the car, but that Ford did not give him the go-ahead. I then phoned Ford and Samkelo also said that due to the age of the car they did not take any responsibility.
I gave panel craft to go ahead with the work and I would pay them which I did. Panelcraft treated me well in contrast with Ford.
I feel the immoral, ********* and dispicable behaviour of all the people at Ford should be dealt with by the Ford company.
