Car Service (Ford Newtown)

On the 26 November 2020, my Ford Focus was booked into Ford Newton for an oil service. The car was personally driven by me to Ford Newtown for the service. Later that morning the service Manager (Simon) phoned to inform me that the car needs a complete clutch replacement and it would cost in the region of R14 000.00. What I can't understand is:

1. The vehicle was driven to Ford with no clutch problems. 2. No lights came on, on the board indication that there was a problem with fluids. 3. There was no smell of a burnt clutch. 4. The gears changed as per normal when driving. 5. The clutch, when changing gears was normal when driving.

Now Ford Newton has informed me that a whole new clutch plate and clutch cylinder needs to be replaced.

My car is not drivable, I had to tow from them this morning.

I'm not happy at all!
