BAD SERVICE FROM FURY FORD WOODMEAD

I Purchased a New Ecosport Ambiante from your Woodmead branch and took delivery on the 25th of February 2017.

On the 22nd of March I advised Brian from your offices that I noticed that the dashboard was beginning to lift / make a bubble on the passenger side of the dash around the area of the airbag and that this is clearly not normal and most definitely Not safe for any passenger. Brian spoke to Peter and advised that the dash will have to be replaced as this is a manufacturing default. I was advised that they will come collect the vehicle in order to replace the dashboard.

I kept on following up to find out when they will be collecting my car for the repair and all I got was there is a back log, someone will contact me when they ready for my car for the repair.

I eventually followed up with Brian again on the 20th of April advising him no one has contacted me yet to collect the car? He was surprised that no one phoned me and he sorted it out for me and advised that they have a dashboard and I can bring in my car the 22nd of April as they have a courtesy car available.

Peter advised me that everything should take a week to finalise.

I did not hear back so I followed up on the following Friday only to find out there is parts problems and everything will be finalised on Tuesday the 2nd of May.

I have not heard anything back from anyone yet again I had to be the one to follow up on the status of my repair which I did on the Friday (5th of May).

I eventually spoke to Carl then as neither Brian or Peter was available. Carl advised me then that the dashboard they had was given to someone else and they only expect the new one on the 19th of May.

On Monday the 8th of May I got a call from Palesa confirming the dashboard will only be there the 22nd of May.

Now this morning I get a call stating they only expect the dashboard the 1st of June.

I am very sorry but this is totally unacceptable and I am not prepared to be given the run around any further and to be honest I am rather regretful I actually purchased a vehicle from Ford now as the service I have received is appalling and this just adds fuel to the flames with the poor reputation Ford has after this Kuga incident.

I need an explanation of what is going on and when will this be resolved.

I am now at the point that I have absolutely No faith what so ever in Fords ability to actually repair this problem 100% and I fear for the safety of myself and especially any passenger I have in the front seat with the dashboard bubbling right by the passenger air bag.

I am sorry but this is really ridiculous and unacceptable, the goal post keeps moving and enough is enough of that now I need to be treated as a valued customer who just purchased a new vehicle from your dealership and it is my legal right to get an answer today on when this matter will get resolved, I need a guarantee in writing that the dash has been replaced correctly and that no passenger I have is at risk of being smashed in the face by a faulty dashboard / airbag. If your dealership can not offer me this respect and peace of mind then I would prefer to take this matter up with Ford South Africa and see what can be done to uplift this purchase as I have lost ALL faith in Ford, The Name and the safety of the vehicle.

Thank you
