After having my vehicle for almost a week to sort out a suspension issue (not the first time) My vehicle was tested problem sorted (so we thought) and given back to me. When checking my vehicle in I requested Tyre rotation and balancing to be done as well while my vehicle was with Ford as previously we had alignment issues after suspension parts were removed and tightened etc. After receiving my vehicle back I drove up the road and immediately contacted the service manager Erich and informed him my steering had a right pull. He then advised that I take my vehicle back the following day straight to tiger wheel and Tyre who had initially done the rotation, balancing and alignment. (instead of instructing me as the customer to bring the vehicle back to the dealership) I had to drive all the way there and then back to Ford, after the steering was calibrated we found the car still had a right pull and that the front left Tyre was at an outward left angle. Erich was then instructed by my upset husband that he take my vehicle back to tiger wheel himself instead of me driving in the pouring rain in and out with our children Erich agreed to take my vehicle and once he returned he deemed the vehicle safe and alignment sorted. Upon driving my vehicle this morning Being the 30/07/26 there is a severe vibration on my steering. Things that bothered me: * Surely as a service manger you should know that alignment should only be done after the suspension has been sorted. My vehicle had alignment done prior to the suspension being taken out etc - Erich in his profession should have known this! I made him aware of this while waiting for my vehicle in tiger wheel and Tyre! His reply was "oh Ja you right, sorry" *Instead of calling tiger wheel himself to enquire what they had done on my vehicle he instead spoke to them on my cellphone after I the customer had to call them, very unprofessional to say the least! Amongst all of the inconvenience I remained pleasant however, Ford Port Shepstone Service department is lead by weak individuals, they lack basic customer service! Calls are never returned and bad telephone lines are blamed, I'm utterly disgusted in the service I received from the front line. This isn't the first issue I've had with this dealership! From job cards not being opened on my vehicle to the service manager signing on my behalf while I was present and should have signed myself, to the COO shutting me down in conversation while bringing up all these issues. I would however like to commend Barry on his excellent service as a technician who always goes the extra mile. What a pity so much talent is wasted in such a disgraceful place!

So disappointed and unhappy about Ford Port Shepstone. When they want your money they go over and beyond till they have it then they give you a big toffee. Their after sales service sucks, their staff after sales so rude. I know people all over South Coast has complained about them, and hoped it would get better but it doesn't. I so wish the vehicle I bought was available from another FORD dealership and not Halfway Port Shepstone. Your branch needs to seriously stop this bad service and bs you putting clients through, KARMA will come and one day the wrong client will come your way. You giving South Coast and especially FORD a bad NAME!!!

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the team at Halfway Ford Port Shepstone, and in particular to Linda Naidu and her team, for the outstanding service I recently received. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with the utmost professionalism and care. After explaining that I am self-employed and live approximately 33 km from the dealership, I was offered a courtesy vehicle without hesitation — no arguments, no excuses, and no suggestion that only "VIP customers" are entitled to such consideration, as I’ve unfortunately experienced at other Ford dealerships in the past. A special thanks goes to Eric who took the time to drive with me so he could personally hear the issue with the vehicle. His willingness to listen and understand the problem firsthand made a real difference. Throughout the day, Linda kept me informed, updating me on the vehicle’s progress and letting me know in advance that it would only be ready the following day. I also appreciated being cc'ed in her request to Lindiwe and her team to provide me with quotations for an extended warranty and service plan. I received a response from Lindiwe the very same day, with all the requested information — a stark contrast to my repeated, unanswered requests to NMI Ford Pietermaritzburg, dating back to 2024 and again in January 2025. The entire experience was seamless, professional, and far beyond what I expected. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to customer service. Please pass on my gratitude to Linda, Lindiwe, the technician, and the rest of the team at Halfway Ford Port Shepstone. They have not only restored my confidence in the Ford brand but have set a standard of service that should be recognised and celebrated.
