Request for Intervention - Ongoing Suspension concern and warranty protection

I am deeply disappointed with my experience regarding an ongoing suspension-related issue on my Ford Ranger XL.

The concern was reported to the dealership multiple times while the vehicle was still under warranty. Various inspections, repairs, and component replacements have been carried out, and the matter was previously escalated to a Ford Engineer. Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved.

What is most concerning is that the vehicle is now approaching the end of its warranty period, yet I still do not have a permanent solution to a problem that has been repeatedly reported and documented.

As a Quarry Manager, I specifically purchased the Ranger XL because it is marketed as a workhorse vehicle designed for demanding environments. The vehicle operates in conditions consistent with its intended purpose. I also have colleagues operating identical models under similar conditions who have not experienced the same concern.

After expressing my disappointment and requesting feedback from Ford, I was advised that mine debris on the leaf springs could be contributing to the issue. This response has further reduced my confidence in both the diagnosis and the support process, particularly given the vehicle’s intended application.

The ongoing issue has not only affected my confidence in the vehicle but has also negatively impacted its perceived value. I have even explored trade-in options and may suffer a significant financial shortfall because of an unresolved defect that has persisted throughout my ownership.

I am now requesting intervention from the Dealer Principal and Ford South Africa, together with: • A formal review of the vehicle’s repair history. • Written confirmation regarding warranty support for this ongoing concern. • A clear action plan to permanently resolve the issue.

I purchased this vehicle with excitement and confidence in the Ford brand. Unfortunately, that confidence has steadily diminished throughout this experience. I remain hopeful that Ford South Africa will intervene and provide a fair and lasting resolution.
