*********** Service Advisor at Fury Ford Midrand

In January 2019 I visited the Ford Fury Dealership in Midrand. I required information on the service intervals of my Ford Fiesta and also when I should bring the vehicle in for a service. Unfortunately the service advisor who assisted me at that time was *********** and not fami**** with the service plan from Ford Motor Company. The service advisor did not advise me that Ford permits a grace period of 30 days when a vehicle can be brought in for a service prior to expiration of the service plan. The service advisor only said that I must make a service booking towards the end of February 2019. The end result was that I had to pay an account in excess of R3,000.00 that would have been covered by the service plan. If you drive a Ford that has a service plan, please ensure that you deal with someone that is competent who can give you the correct information. Although the service manager and other service staff were apologetic, I still had to foot the bill. One thing is for sure, I will definitely think twice before buying or endorsing a product from Ford again.
