horrible Service - Ford fury Midrand
I went to Ford Fury Midrand 22 Sept 2018 to get a quote for my door. ******* tried to get into my car by forcing the car to open. We went to ford and went to see Quinton in the parts department who asked me for the car model, and vin number and description of the problem. We gave him all these, and he quoted me R3500. He requested that I pay upfront for the parts as customers usually do not come back and the dealer is left with the part. So I paid R1554 on the spot. he sent us to enquire about the labour to fix it. We went and met with Mr AJ. who after describing the problem quoted me R1667. and booked the car for 26th September.
On the 26th of September I left my car, their driver(Frans) took me to work. And we agreed on the time(16:20) he will pick me up. He then calls me early 16:09 saying I must come out. Well when I eventually came out at 16:19 he had left me stranded!! In the meantime, Mr AJ calls me as informs me that the total cost would be R4200. I asked him why? He says for them to buy the part. I told him I have already paid for the part, and he then tells me there is no proof. I eventually send him the proof from my bank as I had left the invoice at home. When my colleague drops me to pick my car, I was told investigations needed to be done why the car does not lock. So I should bring the car the next day early. I brought the car back on the 27th sept 2018, then Mr AJ calls me to tell me to fix the lock would cost me R4326 excluding the initial R1554 I had already paid. When I asked what this money is for, then I'm told to buy new parts to fix the lock. I told them I do not have this amount of money! So he told me I have to pay a further R590 for them to have cut they keys. still after all this, my car is in the same state of not locking when I took it to Ford. But I have been wrongly advised to buy incorrect parts and have paid money for nothing! The locksmith I did call, knew the problem I was describing without even seeing the car nd quoted me high. I chose Ford because of the brand and being a dealer. So when I went to fetch my car on the 27th late with a friend. then he finds out, there was no official quote ever been issued by ford to me to describe the work and parts to justify this R4326. After shouting, my friend asked them how can I pay R2000 and walk out with the same problem? Then AJ could not answer. My friend then suggests that they give me my car the way it was and refund me, so I can take the car to a fitment centre rather. Then AJ agrees that would be the cheaper option!
I feel, I have been cheated on, mislead, and mistreated. This is the worst service ever.
